Karnataka to get eight Doppler radars for weather forecast



Karnataka intends to acquire eight hd Doppler radars costing Rs 128 crore for precise weather forecast and for doing things 'for the very first time within the country' to assist agriculture, horticulture, fishing and port departments, a high government official stated here today.

"Such radars could be used the very first time in the united states to assist agriculture, horticulture, fishing and port departments to provide right advise for their particular receivers,"Principal Secretary for Science, BT and e-governance, M N Vidyashankar told reporters here.

These imported radars would forecast weather within the entire condition and installation could be completed in 4 years, he stated, adding the Center continues to be asked for to talk about the project cost

Vidyashankar also stated Rs 100 crore continues to be searched for for Science within the March 21 condition Budget. "When the bugetary allocation is created, it will likely be the greatest any condition has allocated for Science,Inch he stated.
